- Go to the Fire TV home screen and open Settings.

What do Firestick developer options contain?
ADB debugging
ADB stands for Android Debug Bridge. It allows a development computer to communicate with a supported Fire OS device for tasks such as installing and testing an app. It is not a picture-quality setting or a general fix for buffering.
Keep debugging off unless you need it for a task you understand. If a connection approval appears unexpectedly, do not approve an unfamiliar computer. Turn debugging off when your work is complete.
Install unknown apps
Depending on the software version, you may see an option called Install Unknown Apps or Apps from Unknown Sources. This relates to installing software from outside the normal store route. The available controls can differ between models.
Before allowing an installer, confirm the app publisher and use its official instructions. Similar app names, copied logos and download codes do not establish who produced a file. Installing an IPTV player also does not create a channel subscription.
USB debugging
USB debugging is relevant only on supported hardware and for an appropriate computer connection. Do not expect every stick to have a separate USB debugging switch. Follow the model-specific developer documentation if your task needs it.

- Confirm that you are in the Fire TV settings, rather than your television manufacturer’s separate settings menu.
- Highlight the device name inside About before pressing Select.
- Return to the previous screen after the seventh press.
- If the screen says you are already a developer, look for the menu one level back.
- Check the model and operating system against the current Amazon instructions.
A missing menu alone is not a reason to factory reset the device. Resetting can remove saved settings and create extra setup work. If the documented process does not match your screen, ask Amazon support using your model and software version.

No. Making the menu visible does not increase your internet speed or improve a poor stream. Test the connection and the affected app when investigating playback problems.

No. These are device development controls. Access to a television service depends on that service’s account and subscription, not whether this menu is visible.
Should every option be turned on?
