The Smart IPTV app is a player for a playlist you already have. To set it up, install the correct app, copy the device identifier, add your playlist on the publisher’s website and test playback. Activation pays for the player; it does not add television channels.
This guide explains the process in plain English. Keep your TV remote, a phone or computer, and your playlist details nearby. If you are setting up a streaming device for the first time, read our smart device setup guide first.
Before you set up the Smart IPTV app
Check the exact name of the player. Smart IPTV, sometimes called SIPTV, is different from IPTV Smarters and other apps with similar names. Instructions for one player may not work in another.
- Check your TV or streaming device model against the official device instructions.
- Have a working internet connection on the television.
- Ask your service provider for a compatible playlist URL or file.
- Keep the full link private because it may contain your account details.
1. Install the correct player
Follow the publisher’s instructions for your specific device. Its guidance covers LG, Samsung, Android TV and Amazon Fire TV, with separate directions for each platform. Availability can depend on the model and region, so do not assume every television has the same store listing.
Use the official device guide if the app is missing. Avoid downloading a similarly named player and paying for it before checking that it is the one you intended to install.
2. Find the MAC address or device ID
Open the Smart IPTV app and note the MAC address or ID it displays. This identifier links the playlist and player activation to the correct device. Copy it carefully, including the punctuation shown, and check it again before submitting any form.
Use the value displayed by the player. Do not substitute an identifier from your phone, router or a different television. If you are helping a family member, confirm which screen you are setting up before proceeding.
3. Upload your playlist to the Smart IPTV app
On your phone or computer, open the official My List page. Enter the device MAC or ID, then paste your playlist into the URL field or choose the playlist file. Check for spaces accidentally added at the beginning or end of the link.
If your provider supplied a programme guide, add its XMLTV address in the EPG field. EPG means electronic programme guide: the schedule that shows programme names and times. A working channel list does not necessarily include a working schedule.
Check the form and select Send. The page also has a separate delete section; use the upload section when adding a list. Leave optional settings at their defaults unless you understand the problem you are trying to solve.
4. Reload and test playback
Return to the Smart IPTV app and reload the playlist or restart the app. Choose several channels from your own list and check picture, sound and the programme guide. Give each stream time to start before changing settings.
If one channel fails while others work, note that channel for your provider. If nothing plays, check the playlist address, account status and internet connection first. Paying for activation will not repair a broken playlist.
5. Activate only after testing
The publisher’s activation page explains the current player fee and available payment methods. Confirm the MAC or ID again before paying. The licence is for the player on the selected device, while your channel service is a separate arrangement.
Save the receipt and activation details. If a payment is pending, check its status before trying again. Contact the player publisher about activation and your service provider about missing or unavailable channels.
6. Keep your setup easy to manage
Once the Smart IPTV app works, save a private copy of your setup details. The publisher recommends locking the MAC or ID in the app settings to help prevent another person resetting your playlist. Keep account links out of public screenshots.
Change one setting at a time when troubleshooting. Write down the old value so you can restore it if the change does not help. This makes support requests clearer and avoids creating a second problem while fixing the first.
Common Smart IPTV app questions
Should I enable Save online?
The publisher says this option is for trouble loading playlists on televisions with low memory. It is not a general speed boost. Check the official upload guidance before switching it on.
Does activation include channels?
No. You must provide your own compatible playlist. Test that playlist before paying for the player and check separately what your television service includes.
Why is the programme guide empty?
Check the EPG address, the selected country and the guide supplied by your provider. The upload page offers Detect EPG for supported guide addresses embedded in a playlist. A missing schedule alone does not mean the player needs reactivation.
